Good Books by Fellow Druids

Here is a link to the ADF page featuring books authored by members http://www.adf.org/training/resources/member-books.html

I would also recommend any book by the noted druid author Brendan Cathbad Myers especially "The Other Side of Virtue: Where Our Virtues Come From, What They Really Mean, and Where They Might Be Taking Us" and "Mysteries of Druidry" (or something like that).

Dealing with Death

I sit here pondering my feelings of grief after receiving news of friends and family who have died. I mourn their loss. I feel such a profound sense of loss. This world no longer has that person. Their life story, what they became, what they know, what they learned, and what they shared. Their love is gone. Their presence is gone. Their life is gone. Feeling that loss is natural and normal but it brings us face to face with our own mortality.

Becoming a Reborn Pagan

Sometimes I get a lot of flak from re-purposing a term from another religion. My defense of the term stems from our belief in rebirth and reincarnation. We are constantly, both physically and spiritually, being reborn. I use this term as a goal marker for Seekers investigating a free, nature-loving religion. Many of us in today’s society are looking to reconnect to Mother Nature, to the cycles of the cosmos, and to others who follow the Old Ways. They are looking to be reborn in the Old Faith, allowing their previous religion to whither and die.
