Books to get your started in Druidry

On Saturday, we performed the opening ritual for San Diego's Pagan Pride Day and talked with many interesting pagans. Inspired by the discussions with these wonderful people, I decided to provide a list of books that will help you learn more about our tradition of Druidry under ADF. Most of these books are published by our parent organization.

Books by Ian Corrigan:

  • Sacred Fire, Holy Well = This is a great primer for understanding ADF and its teachings. Get this first.

Books by Isaac Bonewits:

  • Real Magic = The reknown book on learning about magic theory by the Founder
  • Bonewits's Essential Guide to Druidism = A concise guide about Druids.
  • Neopagan Rites: A Guide to Creating Public Rituals that Work = ADF seeks to perfect and improve ritual performance, this is a great resource for learning about liturgy and ritual development.

Books by Skip Ellison:

  • Ogham: The Secret Language of the Druids = A primer on using the Celtic ogham or carved symbols.
  • The Solitary Druid: Walking The Path Of Wisdom And Spirit = Most druids start out as solitary practitioners, use this and "Sacred Fire, Holy Well" to get started.

I'll add more as time permits. Have a suggestion, let me know.
